Looking back I’ve always drawn and made things. Along the way I’ve also had a career in higher education and IT. Far from sidelining making art, these different experiences have clarified that my interests and most interesting challenges are creative ones. Some artists launch themselves early in life and others much later. I’m in the latter category. Since 2007, I’ve been taking classes at Parsons and the School of Visual Arts (SVA), renewing a freelance career and with each step clarifying the kind of work I am drawn to make. This ultimately led to my applying to and in March 2020 being accepted into SVA’s MFA in Products of Design program where I’ll add to and further hone my skills.
I have a strong interest in both 2D and 3D design, using both traditional and digital design tools. I enjoy both coming up with new ideas as well as working with people on their projects.
